For treatment programs

See the outside meetings in each client's plan, verified

Many programs ask clients to go to AA, NA, SMART, or other recovery meetings between sessions and after discharge. Clients check in with their phone at each meeting. Your team sees verified attendance against each person's weekly number, on one screen.

No paper slip to keep track of, no chair signature. The meeting never learns why someone is there.

Why a record is hard to fake

  1. 01Government ID matched to a live selfieOnce, before anyone shares with you.
  2. 02Face ID or fingerprint at check-in and check-outThe phone's owner, every time.
  3. 03Within 200 meters of the meeting's addressOur server works out the distance.
  4. 04Our server keeps the time, not the phoneFrom 15 minutes before to 30 after the start.
  5. 05Anyone can verify a recordSigned, unchangeable, with a public check page.

Outside meetings are hard to count

They happen in the evenings and on weekends, after your staff have gone home. Most programs learn about them from a slip, a photo of a sign-in sheet, or what the client says the next day.

  • Collecting slips before group and following up on the missing ones.
  • Writing meeting counts into progress notes and charts by hand.
  • No record of when a client arrived or how long they stayed.
  • Planning step-down or discharge without a reliable count of the support a client has built.

With MeetingSlip, the client checks in at the meeting, and your team sees the count on one screen.

How it works

How it works for your clients

  1. 1

Add a client and send a code

Set how many meetings a week they need. Text or email them the code. The app is free for them.

A pairing code in the MeetingSlip portal: code K7QF-2M9X for Jordan A., 3 meetings a week, with a QR code and buttons to copy, text, or email it.
  2. 2

They check in at the meeting

At the meeting, they tap Check in and confirm with Face ID or a fingerprint. Then they check out when they leave.

The app's meeting screen with a map of the check-in circle. It says: You're here, 34 m from the meeting. Below is a Check in button.
  3. 3

You see it on your caseload

Each client's meetings this week against their number, marked Met, On track, or Behind.

The caseload page: each client's meetings this week against their requirement, with Behind or Met badges and their last meeting.

Each client verifies a government ID against a live selfie once, before anything is shared with you. Optional emails tell you about check-ins or missed days, or send a weekly or monthly summary. Several staff can share one account.

For each level of care

Intensive outpatient (IOP)

Group is on the schedule. Outside meetings are not.

IOP clients come to group on set days and go home to work and family. The outside meetings in their plan happen on their own time. With MeetingSlip, your counselors see the count before group starts, instead of collecting slips at the door.

Partial hospitalization (PHP)

The meetings that matter for discharge happen after hours.

Your staff have gone home when evening meetings start. With MeetingSlip, a patient checks in at the meeting and your team sees it the next morning on one screen, and can keep seeing it after step-down if the patient agrees.

Aftercare and alumni

Stay in touch with the support they built.

After discharge, a client can keep sharing their meetings with your aftercare team. Set a lighter goal, like two meetings a week, and see who might need a call.

What a record shows, and what it doesn't

Every record lists the same limits on its public verify page, so anyone who reads it knows them too.

A record shows

  • Our server recorded the check-in and check-out times with its own clock, not the phone's.
  • The phone was within 200 meters of the meeting's listed address at each step, after allowing for GPS accuracy.
  • Check-in happened between 15 minutes before and 30 minutes after the scheduled start.
  • How long they stayed. At least 75% of the scheduled meeting counts as full attendance.
  • The phone's enrolled owner unlocked it with Face ID or a fingerprint at check-in and check-out.
  • Whose government ID was verified, and when.
  • That no one has changed the record since. Each record is signed and can only be added to.

It does not show

  • Whose face or fingerprint was added to the phone before the person set up MeetingSlip. The ID check ties them to their ID, but it can't see what else is enrolled on the phone.
  • That they took part in the meeting or stayed in the room. MeetingSlip verifies presence near the location, not participation.
  • That the phone's GPS wasn't faked in a way the phone didn't report. Reported fake locations are refused.
  • That the meeting took place as listed. Meeting details come from the SobaSearch directory.

Privacy for clients

Clients share with you because you ask them to. Here's what sharing does and doesn't reveal.

  • The client chooses to share with you and can stop at any time. Your caseload shows when someone stops.
  • The meeting never learns why they're there. No one at the meeting signs or sees anything.
  • Location is read only while the app is open: one reading at check-in and one at check-out.
  • The app's name, icon and notifications never mention a program or recovery.
  • Clients can see who on your team opened their records, and when.
  • The app and the ID check are free for clients.

Questions

Does this track attendance at our own groups?
No. MeetingSlip checks in-person recovery meetings in the SobaSearch directory, such as AA, NA, Al-Anon, and SMART Recovery. It doesn't track your program's own sessions or hours.
Will you sign a BAA?
Yes. If your program is covered by HIPAA, we will sign a Business Associate Agreement. Security and privacy has the details your compliance team will ask for.
Can the number change during treatment?
Yes. Set how many meetings a week each client needs, from 1 to 21, and change it as treatment goes on. The client is told about the change.
Can we keep the reports in the chart?
Yes. A report is a signed PDF for any date range, which you can download and file. How you store it is up to your program's own policies.
What happens at step-down or discharge?
Sharing lasts until the client or your staff ends it. A client can also share with the IOP or outpatient program they move to, a sponsor, or a court, each one separately and by their own choice.
What about clients whose phones don't have Face ID?
MeetingSlip needs Face ID, Touch ID, or a strong fingerprint sensor set up on the phone, so phones without one can't use it. For anyone whose phone doesn't, keep your current method for that person.
Do clients pay?
No. The app and the ID check are free for them.
How does a pilot work?
Book a 45-minute call. We set the pilot up with your program directly: which staff, how many clients, and for how long. Book a pilot call.
